Mapúa Deans Meeting Advances System-Wide PathBuilder Adoption for Board Programs

August 19, 2025 — Intramuros, Manila. Makarius Smart Learning met with the deans of Mapúa University (Intramuros) to map out the adoption of PathBuilder across all board (licensure) classes and to scope a proposal that would extend coverage to the entire Mapúa system. Once finalized, the document will serve as the foundation for drafting a mother contract covering multi-campus deployment.

What we aligned on

  • Board-class rollout: Prioritize licensure-bearing programs with clear baseline metrics (feedback turnaround, formative mastery, early-risk flags).
  • System-wide scope: Build a single, scalable proposal that includes Intramuros and additional Mapúa campuses for consistency in outcomes mapping and analytics.
  • Faculty enablement: Pair technology with short-format academies, playbooks, and coaching so instructors can integrate adaptive pathways responsibly.
  • Data, integrity, and policy: Establish guardrails for privacy, transparency, and academic honesty from day one.
  • Integration: Define touchpoints with existing LMS/registrar systems for roster sync, grade export, and program dashboards.

Proposal at a glance (in development)

  • Unified outcome taxonomy per program and campus
  • Rubric-aligned assessments with mastery visibility across sections
  • Advising workflows triggered by early-risk signals
  • Governance bundle (responsible-use guidelines, integrity checks, reporting cadence)
  • Training & support plan (onboarding sprints, office hours, and success reviews)

What success will look like

  • Higher pass rates and improved mastery on licensure-critical outcomes
  • Faster feedback cycles in weeks 1–4 of each term
  • Earlier interventions for at-risk learners, evidenced by recovery to on-track status
  • Faculty adoption and satisfaction scores tied to enablement quality

Next steps

  1. Consolidate the multi-campus proposal with timelines, KPIs, and cost modeling.
  2. Legal & admin review to shape the mother contract framework.
  3. Working group kickoff (deans, QA, IT, Makarius) to coordinate pilots and scale plans.
